When
Saturdays, 9:00 AM sharp. Same time, every week — fog or shine. This is the Sunset, so bring a layer either way.

Outside Java Beach Cafe, 1108 La Playa St at Judah — the original Java Beach, not the one by the zoo.
The route
Out-and-back into Sunset Dunes Park, the car-free former Great Highway. No fixed distance, no fixed pace — head south, turn around whenever. Coffee's waiting either way.
Why this exists
The west side never had one of these.
San Francisco's run clubs cluster in the Mission, the Marina, Castro, FiDi — wherever there's already foot traffic and a flat white to sell you. Nobody was doing this on the west side, where the fog rolls in first and the ocean is one block away.
Sunset Run Club is the standing Saturday fixture the Outer Sunset didn't have. No pace requirement, no membership fee, no sign-up form — just a place and a time, every week, rain or shine.

Getting there
Parking's tight. The N-Judah isn't.
Beach Chalet lot
Closest parking — the lot at the west end of Golden Gate Park, a short walk from Java Beach.
Street parking
Residential blocks along Judah and Irving usually have space, but it tightens up on nice weekends.
N-Judah Muni
The line terminates about a block from the meet point — easiest no-parking-needed option.
